My diverse background allows me to bring empathy, compassion and life experience to my practice, meeting the client where they are at and assist in setting goals of where they would like to be. I work with individuals to facilitate safe, private sessions for those who are in need of mental health support in the Lower Arkansas Valley.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked as a Social Worker for almost 20 years, with the past few years focusing on mental health counseling. I graduated from Rutgers in 2005 with my Bachelor’s in Social Work and Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2020 with my Masters. I have a diverse background that includes working with people of all ages and stages who have dealt with trauma, grief, and illnesses. I work closely with survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. My goal for all my clients is to provide them with effective coping skills and empower them for those unexpected life circumstances.

Taking the first step to reach out for help can be difficult, I know that from my own life journey. I've learned that seeking help is a strength, not a weakness. Any number of things can cause distress in our lives. Maybe life has given you something that seems as if it's too much to deal with. Maybe some aspects of your life feel out of control? Maybe you need some help managing your child's behavior? Maybe you want to be more authentic and genuine with yourself and others. I have years of experience working with children and families, as well as those who struggle with addiction issues. There is hope!

Jordan Bierbrauer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado who has over 5 years of experience providing individual therapy and family therapy to children, adults, and families from all walks of life. He has experience working with individuals who live with anxiety, depression, trauma-related stressors, and interpersonal conflict. Jordan completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at South Dakota State University and received his Master in Social Work from the University of South Dakota. He utilizes trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as dialectical behavioral therapy.

I spent seven years as a collegiate head coach in cross country and track and field, rejoined my dream of counseling in 2020, and started our practice in 2022. My caseload is made up of 70% youth between 4 and 18, 30% adults, and about 75% men and boys, overall. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, techniques from play therapy for the youngest clients, and see couples with an assertive REBT action-oriented style. I am mostly in-person here in Colorado Springs, and I work weekends! Let's get better!

The most difficult part of counseling is asking for and admitting that we need help. Sometimes we lack the vocabulary necessary to identify what is wrong, sometimes we feel overwhelmed by stress and struggle, or perhaps we feel invisible and unheard or silenced. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you face these types of difficulties, to help provide clarity in the confusion, comfort in the trouble.

I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where we can collaborate on practical and creative solutions to the challenges you encounter. I love working with individuals, families and couples to help them achieve health and well being. I have been in Colorado as a licensed therapist for over 32 years. The main issues that I work with are Depression, Anxiety, Mood disorders, Relationship Issues, PTSD, Adolescent Issues, Health and Wellness, Life Coaching and Eating Disorders (and Disordered Eating). Although I have worked with many issues, I specialize in the treatment of Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating. The populations I work with are adolescents through adults. Greta, my therapy dog, joins us in sessions.

I specialize in DBT for Children. DBT for Children (DBT-C) is a treatment program that focuses on skill development for parents of kids who are emotionally sensitive and highly reactive. DBT-C focuses on changing the environment to meet the needs of the child. For this reason, the family is seen as the “patient".
