I completed the Ph.D. program in Psychology, Public Policy, and Law with an emphasis on Criminal Behavior under the umbrella of Forensic Psychology in March 2023, which has increased insight and awareness of the intersection between mental health and criminal justice systems. Additionally, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Mindfulness, I am a certified Personality Disorder Provider (C-PD) and Chemical Dependency Specialist (CDS), and I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Therapy is a very sacred space in which you are trusting another individual with your story and in order to heal, you need to feel safe. I am here to provide you with that space, so that while you have to wear a mask in every other area of your life, while you are in this space, you can remove that mask and be your true authentic self, without judgment. My role is to support you and to assist during your healing process, providing you with what it is that you need. My therapy process is solely tailored to each and every unique individual that I am working with.

I work with individuals who find themselves stuck in unhelpful patterns, in disappointing relationships, and in their own internal turmoil. They long to live more authentically and to have more meaningful relationships, but have a hard time breaking out of their usual ways of relating to themselves and others. Using a strength-based approach, I seek to understand and appreciate the larger context of who you are, how you became you, and how your struggles developed so that we can understand the deeper source of your pain, support you in shifting out of vicious cycles, and help you live a more centered, conscious life.

I have over 12 years experience working with children, adolescents and young adults with severe emotional and behavioral challenges who are wards of the court. My behavioral practice, La Raiz Behavioral Solutions, offers in-home ABA services, parent consultation on various pediatric issues (e.g., toileting, sleep issues, etc), and behavior based assessments on children, teens, and young adults (18-20). In order to accomplish this mission, we empower our clients by teaching them skills that are relevant to them, hold ourselves accountable using data, and work together with our learners, their parents, and other service providers to make the most of our time together.

I specialize in trauma therapy along with treating personality disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and addiction.
