Positive Approach Counseling Center is a non profit mental health center where we meet our clients needs using positive interventions, holistic care and community outreach.Our center equips the community to impact their relationships, families, and individual passions by providing psychotherapuetic, holisitic approaches for long term positive outcomes. We have licensed therapist, associates and behavioral interventionists to assist in common issues of depression, stress, anxiety, mood disorders, family conflicts, child behavior, and fear.

I help males from teenage to older learn how to express their feelings in non-destructive ways and learn how to better understand the feelings they have. They learn how to feel good about themselves rather than compare themselves negatively to others. Therapy is not about being sick. It is about learning new skills to better manage what life throws our way. My clients see me more as a trusted confidant who cares about them than as a clinician looking at them through a microscope.

Every individual is aware of their personal needs in life and is on a quest to get them met. Internal and external roadblocks can hinder this process and produce negative emotional and mental states of being. My job is to get to the root cause of this distress by identifying the unmet needs, the roadblocks, and the process of meeting those needs that is currently not working. We then work on removing the roadblocks and replacing the method of getting those needs met with one that works and produces harmony with all of those involved.

I provide individual and family therapy, specializing in stress reduction and depression, while focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also have several years of experience working with parents and children regarding behavior issues and effective parenting strategies.

I specialize in working with boys and men who are having a difficult time in school or home. Usually grades are affected and relationships at home are not what they could be. Sometimes other emotional issues are interfering Often communication with loved ones is strained, There are solutions and it is possible to learn new ways to be that can make things easier. I also work with persons who have been abused and are dealing with the aftermath of their experience. I also work with teenage boys who have abused others as a result of their own experiences and who want to learn how to stop their own negative behaviors.

I maintain a very successful practice of holistic psychology that addresses the client at all levels; Mental, Emotional, Physical & Spiritual, facilitating healing at the level of causation, not just management and treatment of symptoms.
