Veronica obtained her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology and Master’s in Social Welfare at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is trained in CBT, DBT, and family and couples therapy. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the administration of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Deep-Brain Theta Stimulation.

Life often presents difficult obstacles that can stand between who you are and who you want to be. Some obstacles may be unhealthy patterns in your relationships, overwhelming sadness or worry, not feeling good enough, or a loss of direction or purpose in your life.

I have had over 15 years experience impacting the lives of children, adolescents and adults with emotional disturbances and often extensive trauma histories. The symptom presentation can range but often the cause is a mixture of biological factors and environmental stress combined with an inability to effectively process and deal with these stresses. I create meaningful working relationships, even when someone may be skeptical of the benefits of therapy. I then work collaboratively to improve coping skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with minimal to no impairment today and in the future.

My group practice provides services for families of children and teens to help mitigate the negative impact of social isolation, anxiety, and disconnectedness. We provide tools for parents to immediately implement at home while also working one on one with the child/teen to teach emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, social connectedness, and an overall safe space to process feelings. We work mostly with kids, preteens, teens, and young adults.

Everyone has within them the ability to attain personal growth by gaining insight into their unique strengths. During times of stress, this inner resilience can be called upon to guide them in discovering purpose and meaning in their lives, improving interpersonal relationships, and adapting to healthier patterns of relating to others.
