Over the past three years my experience includes a variety of techniques, assessments, family systems, human growth & development, behavior, trauma, and social-multicultural counseling. Passionate about mental health since seeking my undergraduate degree, I am dedicated to help you overcome life’s obstacles. It is my desire to meet the distinctive needs of my clients. My experience is distinct, ranging from school counseling, general mental health counseling, to substance abuse and addictions counseling. I have worked with diverse client populations and a variety of ages, growth, and development.

Mr. King is a Licensed Professional Counselor. It is his belief that the relationship between the client and counselor is critical and that growth and healing is a result of this relationship. As this relationship develops relevant issues can be discussed and than processed, thus allowing the client to make choices that brings about growth and development. Many of our problems (depression, anxiety, anger, etc) are multifaceted and as we begin to deal with the issues surrounding those problems the symptoms decrease and our lives become fuller.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked for over 20 years in the field of social work. I work with tweens, adolescents and adults who are experiencing problems with stress, anxiety, depression or general dissatisfaction in some aspect of life. I also have experience working with issues such as relationship problems, family difficulties, trauma, foster care and adoption.

I also offer assistance with Hoarding Disorder and am featured as an expert consultant in nearly 40 episodes of the A&E series HOARDERS. Dr. Tim Kershenstine (Ph: 504-914-6209), a specialist in OCD and other fear-based disorders, continues to provide amazing services at the OCDIGNO. He provides coaching interventions as well.
