Traverse Health Clinic provides behavioral health services to adults and adolescents ages 12 and up, even if you haven't established primary care with one of our medical providers. Our behavioral health services are provided by licensed therapists who are trained and qualified to help patients experiencing life stressors or mental health issues. Therapists are able to assist individuals in learning constructive ways to handle problems that interfere with everyday life. Services are usually time-limited and focused on specific goals that you, the patient, have identified.
There are a variety of reasons you might want to receive behavioral health services: Adjustment issues, anger, anxiety, chronic illness, communication issues, depression, grief/loss, panic, parenting issues, relationship issues, stress management, addictions, or trauma.
Day time and evening appointments are available. Accepting various insurance plans, as well as offering a sliding scale for the uninsured, we remain true to our roots as a strong community safety net and will never turn anyone away because of inability to pay!

Groups
Personal Growth: Living Skills
Traverse Health Clinic is now offering its first behavioral health therapy group, Living Skills: Personal Growth, to adults (age 18+). This is a 24 session curriculum based group that covers the internal skills needed to be a positive member of the community. There are 6 main topics: values and responsibility, interpersonal skills, refusal skills, making decisions, setting and attaining goals, parenting and child development. Although established patients of Traverse Health Clinic will be offered priority placement, one does not have to be a patient of the clinic to receive group therapy.
