My perfect individual client is a person who wants to learn the connection of healthy body and healthy mind. I approach things differently, blending psychotherapy with intuition. I have extensive training in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and depression, as well as energy psychology. Some fundamental questions in our work together will be: how does fear control your life? what causes you to stay stuck in unhealthy patterns? Digging into these patterns is our launchpad. But tapping into your intuition and your higher self is a game changer. Fear will no longer be in charge of your mind. My passion is to help you connect the dots in your own life and really trust yourself.

I believe that in order for individuals to experience an extraordinary life (a life filled with peace, love, joy, and purpose) they must learn how to heal, protect, and strengthen all three parts of themselves - the soul (mind, will, & emotions), the body, and the spirit. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy with Christian, biblical principles to address a complexity of issues within an individual, family, couple, or group that may be preventing them from experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness. Also, my husband, Adewale Disu, a Certified Life Coach, provides life coaching services to men.

Media & societal pressures have conditioned us to hate ourselves and our appearance. We speak to ourselves as if we are the bully and the victim. The only hope we have is to alter our appearance, until we realize that doesn’t help how we view ourselves. My experience is with people who struggle from eating disorders, OCD, body image, gender dysphoria, trauma, and co-occurring diagnoses. My heart goes out to those who are disillusioned about their lack of worth. In struggling with my own body image, learning to love myself was a huge transition. This journey prepared me to help others along with their own self-worth challenges.

My greatest strength as a practitioner is my understanding of the human experience. I understand the uniqueness of the client/practitioner relationship, while recognizing the importance of seeing the client as a human first. I like to give my client as much autonomy as possible throughout the course of their treatment. I understand that most things in life are beyond our control, and I feel it’s important for clients who are experiencing some form of distress to feel they have some degree of control in their life.

I have worked with people of all ages ranging from children to the elderly, with more focus devoted to those in their late teen s - mid - life stages . I specialize in working with anxiety, anger management, ADHD, stress management, improving relationships and communication, navigating life transitions, and parenting challenges. I have considerable experience supporting LGBTQIA individuals and helping them to navigate the challenges they may encounter with family, friends, or community. I also have worked extensively with parents on navigating challenging childhood behaviors and teenage puberty.
