Brandee treats older teens and adults across a range of clinical concerns, with a particular focus on mood, anxiety disorders and trauma-related disorders. In addition, she works comfortably with clients who would appreciate the delivery of CBT within the context of their spiritual/religious world view. She obtained a BA in Psychology from UNCA in 2010, and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College in 2015. Brandee worked with adolescents and teens from 2015-2018 in a day treatment setting before switching to an outpatient therapy setting. Currently Brandee is practicing via teleltherapy.

Treatment efforts are designed in a manner to provide a safe environment for individuals to heal, be restored, and to grow. I believe in offering an individualized approach to assist in the process of working towards the achievement of wholeness. Obstacles are merely opportunities for you to enhance, evolve, and excel into a place of purpose. The greatest gifts can be wrapped in challenge. My ideal client would be anyone who would be interested in aspiring to be all that they were made to be. I would like to help you be intentional about your mental health and your relationships. I can help you learn ways to deal with your anxiety, depression and process any grief that you may be going through. I would like to work with you to help you have a better marriage or to be a more intentional parent. I have enjoyed working with teenagers for years and I also enjoy working with all aged adults. I enjoy helping men, women, their marriages, and their families. While I specialize in individual and marriages, I do provide counseling to all who pass through our doors. Sometimes women need a male's perspective on things, while kids may need an outside adult figure to get a different perspective or role model. I also specialize in helping men overcome masculine passivity, pornography addiction and sexual integrity.

The ideal client for me would be a child, adult, couple, family or group that desires an inner peace that is lacking in their life. This client has a great degree of motivation with the understanding that their wellbeing is achievable. As a Christian counselor, relying on the Holy Spirit is imperative in being able to help clients.

I offer therapy services to all individuals, couples, and families. I also offer parenting classes and anger management. I believe in tailoring treatment to fit the needs of the individual client. For this reason I don't use the same therapeutic approach with every client. Every person is unique and I believe it is important to recognize this. In addition to traditional therapy I also offer "Relationship Checkups". These checkups consist of two sessions designed for couples to attend once a year. The checkup is to provide maintenance, prevention and intervention to keep your relationship strong throughout the year.

I have been in practice since 1984. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of issues. Among these are marital and family issues, relationship issues, depression and anxiety, spiritual concerns, life phase problems, and work difficulties. I believe in the value of the individual, and consider therapy a partnership between myself and my clients, with the goal of a more balanced, fulfilling life for my clients.

As a psychologist with over 35 years serving adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families, I understand that "well begun is half done" which points to the importance of respecting each individual's unique starting point in therapy. I have a distinct health orientation based in science which suggests that most emotional distress is ultimately stress-related. Therefore, emotional balance and well-being is inherently available to most individuals. Ultimately, most of us find that quality emotional work pays off.

I have experience providing treatment to children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of ADHD, ODD, Adjustment Disorders, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Divorce, Physical and Sexual Abuse, Neglect, and parenting struggles. I have a background in Child Protective Services which focused on reuniting families, Intensive In-Home treatment, individual and family therapy, and community engagement. Being a parent is tough and I’m here to help. Having worked with children and teens who struggle with anger, anxiety, and perfectionism, my first goal is to create a safe space for them to express what is causing these these behaviors and emotions. As your child begins to open up, I will invite you into these session and we will discuss what is causing these behaviors and emotions as well as strategies to help them manage it.
