I have been a practicing psychotherapist for the past twenty-five years. I believe we have all experienced challenging events in our lives that have never been adequately resolved, especially difficult childhoods and family disfunction. My unique specialty is to assist in discovering and moving beyond old patterns and belief systems in order to allow more self-understanding, authenticity, and sense of self-worth. I do this through my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a gentle form of bi-lateral therapy called EMDR.

Life can be stressful and art therapy can assist in identifying and managing emotions. In addition to tele health art therapy, also provide tele-health talk therapy for tweens, adolescents and adults. I strive to assist my clients with creative expressive experiences to help facilitate personal growth; considering developmental, family structure and social/cultural factors when creating individualized treatment plans. The addition of the art making process helps in building relationships with children and teens who may be resistant to sharing their emotions in a therapeutic setting. I have a long history of working with children and families. I treat children of all ages and adults. I address attachment issues, academics, oppositional defiance, grief, loss and trauma. This is often complicated and usually requires the involvement of the whole family. I love working with children and find that there are always solutions and ways to accommodate the most difficult situations. I use a variety of modalities including play therapy which includes sand tray, art and a variety of other ways for self expression for children .

I have recently become certified in the Nurtured Heart approach which is designed to work with intense children and their families.
