I've chosen the field of social work because I consider it a privilege and honor to companion people during difficult times in their lives; whether from transitions like childbirth, chronic illness, divorce or the death of a loved one, I believe my role as a therapist is to join with you and help you understand your internal world and create an environment in which will you will heal and grow.
For the past 18 years I've worked with individuals and families who have lost a child, spouse, sibling or other close family member. I also specialize in trauma, perinatal mood disorders, depression and anxiety. Additionally, I work with couples who are experiencing any type of relationship challenges.
I have post-graduate training in Expressive Arts Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. As a painter and photographer I am very interested in how art and creativity can help transform peoples lives and provide them with a different way of working through challenges.
