First, I just want to say that taking the first step to find a therapist is incredible. This is an exciting moment. Contacting a counselor can sometimes be a little intimidating (I know from experience!) but I want to reassure you that it is the start to an amazing journey. I utilize several therapeutic interventions to support children and families in their healing journey. These interventions include Parent Child-Interaction Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, SandTray, Play Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis.

I am passionate about working with children, teens, & adults who are experiencing symptoms of overwhelm/anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, anger, behavioral issues, ADHD, sensory processing issues, bullying, or low self-worth. I have been working with children, teens, adults, & families in various settings for 25+ years. Most of the clients I work with are between the ages of 3 to 13. The majority of the statements or concerns I hear are my child is very anxious, struggling with impulsivity, having anger outbursts, or is unmotivated. I also provide care and compassion for parents as they walk through this journey with their child.

Patricia Borno has practiced psychotherapy in Orlando, Florida for the last 33 years. She comes from a military family living up and down the East Coast and is married to a first responder and has two daughters. She obtained her MSW from Florida State University with primary training in cognitive behavioral therapy. She has experience across the spectrum in psychiatric care including at the acute care psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, residential, and outpatient clinic levels of care.
