I'm Preethi and I would be honored to navigate this journey with you into understanding and becoming your most authentic self. I'm licensed in TX and MD. I'm a gender fluid South Asian clinician who doesn't view mental health as separate from the culture and environment we grew up in and emphasize the importance of understanding our values systems and material conditions that contribute to how we're currently existing in the world. I primarily work with adults and teenagers (13 and up) regarding depression, anxiety, and neurodivergence (ADHD and autism). I specialize in working clients with marginalized/oppressed identities including: queer BIPOC, chronically disabled, and those going through cultural and systemic oppression. I am EMDR-trained.
Having a safe space doesn't mean the absence of anything bad. It's about cultivating a place where we can navigate good, bad and in between together where you're able to make it through and want to return back to that space. The best therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one and I work hard to have an equitable relationship with my clients.
