Many of the adults I work with spent years managing circumstances that don't surface in a clinical intake form — housing instability, a family member cycling through incarceration, communities where mental health care wasn't trusted or accessible. By the time they reach out, anxiety has been running underneath everything for years, or depression has settled in with a logic that standard explanations miss. What most share is a sense that what they've survived has shaped them in ways they haven't had space to examine. They're not looking for someone to simplify their story. They want a therapist who can account for all of it.
My work focuses on trauma, anxiety, and depression with adults whose lives have intersected with systemic pressure. I draw from CBT, trauma-focused approaches, psychodynamic exploration, and CPT — shifting between them based on what a client needs to move. For clients whose faith is central, I incorporate that into the work.
