About
I enjoy counseling with all age populations, I have a special interest in working with children and adolescents. I will look at interactions, behaviors, and temperaments of the individuals and how family, friends, and society influence reactions. In assessing the situation, we will focus on the here and the now and reflect on the past only to promote change and growth in the present. New skills will be taught, and individuals are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions.
I am certified in Trauma Focus Therapy, Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, Certified Clinical Military Counselor, and a Certified Forensic Evaluator for the State of N.C. For children art and play is their language. I utilize a combination of verbal therapy, art as therapy, and a variety of developmentally based play therapies to assist children.
In today's world with both hope, and chaos finding a balance can be difficult. The roller coaster of life can be challenging at any stage. Counseling can offer many benefits. In coming to counseling you are seeking relief and help as soon as possible. I will commit myself in offering you help in a time frame that addresses your needs.
