Powell Burke
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Location
As human beings, we often find ourselves wanting more freedom, or perhaps wanting more purpose in our lives, or craving a sense of inner peace. Other times, we find ourselves caught up in difficult and challenging relationships in our personal lives or at work. Whether your life feels overwhelming or underwhelming, I believe that care and courage, along with some healthy curiosity can go a long way in helping you locate new possibilities and finding solutions that work for you. If you're struggling due to depression, minority stress, gender dysphoria, relationship problems, and more, I can help.
My process is not a one-size-fits-all affair. Indeed, the work we do together is unique to every individual I encounter and always begins with accepting you just as you are. Beginning the self-exploration of therapy is an act of courage. I respect your bravery by always providing a calm, warm, and nonjudgmental space to discuss and process your concerns.
Together, we’ll collaborate in clarifying your goals, identifying effective strategies, and finding a path that will work for you. You can reach out to me by whatever method is most comfortable for you. For your convenience, evening and limited weekend hours are available. A 10-minute phone consultation is also offered for all potential clients at no cost.

Professional Connections
Powell brings a thoughtful and caring approach to his work with clients. He understands the challenges individuals face when trying to determine the next steps in their lives and will offer support, encouragement, and helpful reflective questions. He can be especially helpful for individuals struggling with the anxiety, finding a sense of identity, or exploring new ways of being in the world.
Every individual Powell encounters receives his gifts of calm, warmth, and presence. Powell's natural curiosity, compassion, and ability to listen leave all who meet him feeling heard, seen, and cared for. There are therapists and then there are healers - it is a rare gift to find both. If you are looking for a therapist who will help you calm the internal chaos, build harmonious relationships, and become the author of your story, you have found the perfect guide.
