I work with depression & anxiety, trauma, relationships therapy (dating, marriage & couples counseling, intimacy problems), eating disorders & body image and healthy eating, maternity and postpartum, parenting and attachment, and grief due to break-ups, perinatal loss, and divorce. I am also devoted to the field of positive psychology and support people during common life transitions.
With more than 10 years of experience, I consider intuition, personal journey, and extensive trainings my biggest strenghts. My approach incorporates the latest research from the fields of psychology and neuroscience. In addition to traditional psychotherapy concepts such as bringing unconscious material to consciousness, I practice techniques that change the brain for the long-term.
The techniques I use include cognitive-behavioral therapy, relational attachment based therapy, psychodynamic insight oriented interpretation and experiential emotionally focus approaches: EMDR, the cutting edge treatment for trauma and Internal Family Systems, the psychotherapy approach to resolve deep-seated emotional issues. I offer empathic listening but I also play an active role in the sessions.

Do you want to better manage your emotions in life? If you are experiencing intense emotions and it is impacting you negatively (i.e., it is hurting your relationships; you feel out of control or overwhelmed too often; you deal with obsessive, compulsive, or self-destructive behavior; you have difficulty organizing your life; you struggle with transitions, etc.), then this group is for you. This is a dialectical behavior therapy-based group that will focus on recognizing, dealing with, accepting, and changing our emotions specifically through the use of the DBT skills: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and relationships skills.
