Jennifer began working in the mental health field in 1998. Jennifer sees teenagers, young adults, adults, parents, and young professionals.

I work with adolescent girls (16 plus) and adult females. These women struggle with self worth and self esteem, may have body image issues, and often compare themselves to others. They have a history of negative relationship patterns with partners or friends or both. They turn to binge eating, shopping, using substances or other self harm to self soothe and comfort. My clients struggle to make themselves a priority and experiences symptoms with their mental health as a result of the above and are looking to improve their relationship with themselves which in turn reduce their symptoms and improve positive emotions and patterns.

I specialize in working with adults and children/families who are challenged by anxiety, ADHD, or "Asperger's" but have experience with many different issues. My approach involves providing information about how the brain works, how to use it as your ally instead of an enemy, and how to find strength in the very things that challenge you. (ex: There are so many wonderful things about having ADHD!) I do this in the context of interpersonal relationships where we talk about things like identity and communication/conflict resolution skills.
