Many people experience a deep sense of longing often described as a feeling of emptiness. What we use to fix or fill that emptiness can begin addictive processes like alcoholism, love addiction, and codependency. My approach is to meet that longing with compassion, understanding and love. Often the problem that causes us discomfort is an old way of coping that a part of us believes we need. Together we find the meaning that is generating or keeping the presenting symptom or problem in place and then move to swiftly create positive lasting change.
I use an integrated approach highlighting Internal Family Systems and Coherence Therapy to find what will work best for you and your situation. My hope is to offer assistance and help shine a light on the patterns you have been using that no longer serve you and cause you distress.
I can help you become aware of old outdated ways of operating that don't serve you in the present moment. I use experiential mindful empathic methods to assist you in your unique journey of transformation. I have been influenced by Buddhist Psychology and practiced mindfulness meditation for 30 years.
