I offer Christian counseling for individuals, couples and families in Mill Creek and the surrounding areas. As a former pastor and now as a counselor I have worked with people at the heart of their need, hurt and pain. My approach to counseling involves a balance of grace and truth. I strive to offer a safe, caring, supportive environment while standing alongside and challenging clients to learn and grow and overcome their obstacles. People would describe me as a good listener, appropriately directive, compassionate, and easy going. My goal is to see true and lasting change in the lives of my clients.
I pull from different schools of thought according to the client's need. I am drawn to a solution-focused, cognitive behavioral approach because people choose their own behavior, and therefore are instrumental in choosing their own solutions. I work alongside clients to establish goals, learn new ways to cope and overcome life's difficulties.
I hold a Master of Arts degree from Argosy University. I specialize in working with relational issues, anxiety, depression, character development, grief and loss, self-esteem and men's issues. As a Christian counselor I am also prepared to help people who want to incorporate their faith into the counseling process.
