Apologies, practice is full! My practice foundation: each of us naturally moves toward thriving (adjusting to and overcoming all variety of obstacles we encounter in life). Sometimes, we face especially difficult circumstances that seem to delay this process. I focus on guiding and challenging people to identify what is contributing to their current difficulty and the personal and environmental resources available to effectively work through the situation. The therapeutic relationship is key, providing a supportive opportunity for individuals to get clear about change they want to work toward and begin the positive change process.
My training and background consist of work with individuals and relationships (couples, family, group, etc.) dealing with a variety of painful life experiences including relationship difficulties, emotional distress, trauma (sexual and other), grief and loss, depression, anxiety, addictions, personality disorders, health and body concerns and other issues.
I hold a whole-person philosophy: one's biological, psychological, social, and spiritual health are not separate, but connected aspects. Also trained in public health, I have a uniquely broad experience to collaborate on whole-person issues such as lifestyle and activity, chronic/terminal illness, relationship with body and embracing whole self-acceptance.
