I am client centered in my approach. I work with individuals, late adolescents, and families. The foundation of our work will be that of mutual respect and clear expectations. I view the counseling relationship as a collaborative process and believe the role of a therapist can be likened to that of a "coach," one who challenges old ineffective behaviors and beliefs. I provide a confidential and supportive environment for you to share your concerns, and goals. Through dialogue and deep listening, new choices and next steps will be brought to light.
My general focus is working with people who feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. My specialty is using tools such as EMDR to support people struggling with relational issues, addiction and/or a trauma history to improve the quality of their life and relationships. Collaboratively, I've assisted my clients achieve a centered and balanced life.
