Hello! I am Marcia Light, I have intensely worked as a counselor helping clients to gain more clarity and reveling their own strengths and potential. Yeah, life can be distressing, emotions can get on the way and sometimes we can feel stuck and overwhelmed in negative patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving.

I work with people of all genders, orientations, ethnicities, races, and religions. I offer individual, couples, and family therapy. Some of my areas of special interest and ongoing expanding expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, low self-esteem, relationship/marital issues, grief, sex therapy, understanding sexuality, open/ Polyamorous relationships, transgender/gender non-conforming individuals, and faith crisis/ transition.

My approach to counseling involves a direct and socratic style, employing various cognitive-behavioral methods to challenge clients and equip them with enduring tools for success. I’m dedicated to helping clients understand that our well-being is intricately linked to our beliefs and choices as we strive to fulfill our fundamental needs for survival, love, importance, and variety. Collaboratively, I work with each client to determine the most effective means of supporting them in meeting these needs through the power of choice.
