About
Often people enter therapy because they feel stuck. They know what to do but it's just the 'doing it' that's hard. I have been working successfully with clients for 20 years and I love it. I focus on the importance of relationships as well as the achievement of individual desires. I offer in-person and teletherapy services.
My specialties included psychodynamic therapy with individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and groups often dealing with depression and/or anxiety. A goal I hold is to work collaboratively to clarify where you are and where you want to be. I am a cisgender straight Black woman, a non-practicing Christian, an anti-racist and a LGBTQ+ ally.
I know that there is still stigma involved in using psychotherapeutic services and I understand it's often a last resort. I have built my practice on empathy, evidence-based practices and experience.
