I'm Portia Carroll, LMFT, and I love working with teens and adults struggling with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, trauma and grief. I look at patterns of behavior in order to help clients find the most effective ways to reach success!
I utilize attachment theory based models of treatment. I am finding through my work over the years that capacity seems to be shrinking. My goal for my clients is to widen the ability to experience hard things and still be OK.
I work with teens and adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and ADHD. I am a caring realist. Talk therapy has become a place where people go to ruminate on negative experiences, not necessarily change them. I'm focused on true healing.
