My name is Porter Mckee. I have a Clinical Social Work License in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. I have over 25 years of experience working directly with mental health, dual diagnosis and chemically dependent patients. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I have experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma, abuse, and anger management. I also have experience working with PTSD, depression and relationship issues. I try to be very attentive to the client. I give them time to talk and really listen to what they say. I keep a calm demeanor.
I grew up in a small town in North Mississippi. My family was very poor. We did not have running water or electricity until I was 6 years old. We had an outhouse, and my grandmother cooked on a wood burning stove. I worked on the farm. I also worked for over 20 years as a mechanic, general labor and forklift operator. I always felt less than others.
