Learning to Bend, Not Break In the Windy City
Living as a LGBTQIA+ person in this world is complicated! Navigating stress, trauma, and oppression can lead to chronic struggles with coping and dysregulation. We're two queer therapists who built a DBT space designed for our community. We're neurodiversity-informed, anti-carceral, and empowerment-focused clinicians experienced with DBT. A virtual, weekly skills group lasting 12 weeks that teaches DBT skills about Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance, using Linehan’s revised DBT workbook (provided). INN BCBS PPO, Optum / UBH PPO, Aetna PPO, Northwestern student insurance, USHIP, and UCHP. Full fee $75. Sliding scale $25-$40.
