English
| español Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety. I am passionate about working with the BIPOC and Indigenous communities ages 18 and up, working to provide survival strategies, self-soothing, support, and resource coordination. My approach is person-centered and eclectic, fostering a comfortable and warm environment. Through a judgment-free and light-hearted space, we will work to make you feel empowered during both high and low times. When appropriate, I incorporate holistic methods such as mindfulness, rhythmic meditation, and somatic approaches.
I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you learn to replace unconstructive thoughts with healthy alternatives, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to improve emotion regulation, and Solution-Focused Therapy to learn your strengths and resources.
I hold a high level of cultural competency, and understand the unique struggles of immigration, victims of crime, racism, discrimination, systemic barriers, lack of resources, and the impact of economic hardships on mental health functioning. Through all these techniques, you will develop coping skills to help guide you toward long-lasting positive change!
