My name is Agnieszka Baklazec and I along with three other therapists in my practice along with two prescribers are here for you. We believe that some of life events are traumatic enough and difficult enough that we lose sight of who we truly are as people. We believe therapy can help us get to that beautiful state when, even the imperfections, make up for a beautiful human being each of us is. We also believe that therapy should be affordable and accessible, therefore, we have the ability to offer sliding scale. This option is usually ideal for someone who does not have insurance or chooses not to utilize it.

As an “introduction” to who I am, what I believe in, and what I “bring to the table” during our therapy sessions, please allow me to use a quote from one of my favorite books written by David Klow, LMFT, “You Are Not Crazy”. His words are exactly what I want you, my Client, to hear from me and for you to believe. You are not crazy. Really, you are not. Others are experiencing nearly the same things as you, yet they just don’t talk about it. They often don’t even have the words to describe what they are experiencing; but if they could, you may find that it is a lot like what you are going through.

Our ideal clients are children, adolescents, young adults, or adults who are struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts or compulsions, who are ready to see positive changes in their minds and in their lives!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families, adolescents and teenagers, facing a variety of challenges. I have a variety of therapy experience including facilitating traditional therapy sessions, working with children in a school setting and supporting family therapy sessions. I am passionate about providing a safe space for people to share thoughts and feelings about what they are experiencing. I use a variety of approaches to help support and guide you through this process depending on what your needs are. I am also fluent in Russian.

I believe that we cannot truly change without understanding our past and how it impacts our present. I help my clients explore their early experiences, first attachments, environments they were born into, and generational trauma to help them understand the patterns they've developed in order to adapt. Those once adaptive patterns, oftentimes become maladaptive later on in life and can be hard to change. I assist my clients in their process of change through guided exploration, drawing links between the past and the present and gently challenging the patterns that no longer serve them.
