Hi! You can call me Po. I am an empowerment focused therapist who helps adults, teens and caregivers who feel overwhelmed by endless worry, intrusive thoughts, self doubt, loneliness, hopelessness, burnout, or grief. Using a warm approach, I will help you figure out how to make your life feel sustainable and worth living. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, autism, burnout and grief. As a Black woman, I am dedicated to strengthening the mental health of Black, Asian, Latinx, and Indigenous individuals and communities
My trauma-informed approach is centered on partnering with you to: identify and manage triggers, develop practical coping skills, uncover your strengths, change relationship dynamics that cause suffering, and improve your communication with others. I use DBT, CBT, IFS and psychodynamic therapy.
It is reasonable to expect trust and respect in your relationship with your therapist. In our work together, that will be my priority. My goal is to show you that you matter, that you are not defined by a diagnosis and that a joyful life is possible.
