I have been working in the field for 12 years providing therapy to adults and children. I have helped people with a variety of issues such as trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, autism, grief and loss, addiction, and anger. I am a certified trauma specialist, as well as a certified alcohol and drug counselor. Also, I served in the armed forces for 6 years and feel privileged to work with veterans today.
When working with children, I don't expect them to sit on the couch and spill their feelings. I use an individualized approach that includes play therapy and teaching self calming methods and how to manage emotions. I find that clients of any age appreciate my passion and direct style.
