About

I see the therapeutic process as a partnership that allows us to work together. We examine the "treatment menu" and identify what fits best: Detox, in-patient, out-patient, individual counseling, mindfulness and meditation, dance, exercise, nutrition, a spiritual path and support groups like 12-Step, SMART recovery and Refuge Recovery. Addiction (or compulsion) is challenging, baffling, frustrating and a powerful teacher. To be free from craving allows such emotions as peace of mind and contentment to arise - I consider it a honor to help my clients step onto the path to recovery.
I serve individuals, couples and families struggling with addiction, codependency, grief, loss, trauma, relationship and what-should-I-do-about-my-life issues. I offer counseling, case management, motivational counseling and life coaching. More details, (including YANA support group) are available on my website, www.surrender2sobriety.com.
Every client deserves an individual treatment plan specific to their needs and values. Addiction is a condition shared by more than 24 million people in the US. It is often accompanied by guilt and shame, trauma, mental health issues, medical challenges and chronic pain.Together we identify your authentic path to recovery.

Pippa Breakspear's Groups

YANA (You Are Not Alone)

We are a fellowship of families who meet on the 2nd Monday of each month, to share our experience, strength and hope with each other, to support and help our children recover from substance dependence but not rescue or enable them. This facilitated support group allows families, with a child or adult child, using or in recovery, to share resources and support each other. We honor the principles of anonymity and confidentiality in order to provide a safe haven for sharing our stories and challenges, our fears and our hearts. A donation of $3 is appreciated to cover room rental.
