As an experienced LCSW practicing in NY for over 30 years in a variety of settings, (schools, hospitals, clinics and residential programs) I have gained invaluable clinical knowledge, experience and therapeutic skills. Throughout my career I have been privileged to help many children, families, adults and couples meet their goals, improve their mental health, resolve work / family life problems, and cope with difficult transitions in their lives all, while establishing a genuine supportive connection.
As a warm and empathic clinician whose early training focused more on a traditional psychodynamic model and Family Systems theory, my work has evolved into an eclectic style which incorporates my training in DBT, CBT, a strength-based and trauma focused approach to working with my clients.
My belief is this approach provides a framework for our stories from the past, the impact on our daily lives and our bio-psychosocial emotional functioning, while helping clients find relief as they learn skills and acquire tools to manage, regulate, calm and understand human emotions as they relate to loss, grief, trauma and life transitions.
