About
Hi! My name is Peter Carnini (he, him, his), and I'm a licensed psychotherapist providing direct, interactive, authentic counseling and psychotherapy for gay, queer, and bisexual men in the San Francisco Bay Area. Counseling and psychotherapy are all about intentionally creating change, and it can be a profoundly empowering experience. Unfortunately, when we're struggling and need help, it can be difficult to know where to turn or what questions to ask, and far too many people end up picking a therapist based only on a referral, or from a list of names provided by an insurance company, or based on how many degrees a therapist has.
You deserve more... and interactive, authentic help is available! Having helped a wide range of ethnic groups in 5 major LGBTQ mental health programs over the past 20+ years, I have a LOT of experience doing this kind of work and helping gay men overcome anxiety and depression, work through identity-related issues, and better cope with age-related concerns.
When you're ready to work with a calm, stable, understanding therapist who "gets it" and is open to helping you work through your unique experiences, gain clarity, live life more authentically, and realize your full potential, please contact me with any questions you have. I look forward to speaking with you and helping in any way I can!
