Depression causes hopelessness. Anxiety affects work, family, relationships, enjoyment of life's simple pleasures. Exposure to trauma can cause a multitude of symptoms. If you are facing any of these stressors, if you are a survivor of/or witness to trauma, treatment can help. Through cognitive therapy, my clients have learned to overcome depression, anxiety, PTSD. I also treat individuals court mandated for treatment through Children and Youth Services, probation and parole, etc. Additionally I work with adolescents dealing with behavior concerns, referred by schools/families. Family/couples counseling is also available, as well as treatment for psychosis.
As a committed social worker, from a family of social workers, I believe in and respect my profession's code of ethics which includes belief in the worth and dignity of all human beings. Therefore I have committed to working with folks from all walks of life, without judgment.
In addition to my clinical practice treating those with mental and behavioral health concerns, I have worked with and testified as an expert witness for criminal defense teams for twenty years. I have provided evaluations for family court.
