About
Life is filled with change; some planned and exciting, others unexpected and scary. Sometimes even planned change can tax our coping ability. Life transitions such as leaving college, finding satisfying relationships, marriage, having children, divorce, becoming a step family, and retirement can present unforeseen challenges. It is at times like these that having the guidance of an experienced professional can make the difference between "sinking" under the stress and "swimming" with feelings of mastery. As a psychotherapist and coach I have specialized in helping individuals and couples navigate the choppy waters of life change.
Using an interactive approach, I help clients clear away obstacles to greater life satisfaction and develop a tool box of skills to reduce life stress, including techniques to deal with anxiety and depression, improve couple communication, develop parenting skill, navigate divorce and the complexity of step families, or plan for the upheaval of retirement.
My many years of professional experience and training has equipped me with an understanding and empathy for the struggles of my clients and a belief in the individual's capacity to grow and change. I am a partner in the journey to find more inner peace, satisfying relationships and a fulfilling life.
