My name is Phonemany Thongkham. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II and am EMDR trained. I have over a decade of experience working with teens, young adults, adults, and seniors who have endured sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, sex- trafficking, sexual misbehaviors, generational trauma, racial trauma, LGTBQIA+, and am neurodivergent friendly. As an immigrant and refugee of Laotian and Vietnamese descent and a social worker, I also specialize in working with clients of Asian descent and minorities who have experienced social injustices.
I am a self-identifying holistic therapist who approaches therapy from a person centered, trauma-informed lens. I take an integrative therapy modality and collaborative approach to meet the needs of my client. No two clients are alike, therefore treatment should be specific to each client.
It is my goal to provide a safe and nurturing environment for my clients to be their authentic selves. In order to do so, I am unapologetically authentic in my demeanor, approach, and the language that I use.
