About
I treat children, adolescents, couples and families (from ages 6 to 60) .There are many problems affecting children, adolescents, families and couples today. The stress of contemporary life sometimes becomes overwhelming and can result in anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, alcohol and other addictive issues, marital conflict, infidelity, sibling conflict and financial concerns. My interventions are based on evidence-based practices which empirically demonstrated that when used they work by increasing coping skills, self-sufficiency, and overcome self-defeating behaviors.
I am experienced in play therapy which I use with youth. I have special supervised training to work with children and adolescents. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Based Brief Therapy. I advocate for children with special needs to assure they receive good accommodations.
I believe that everyone has the skills they need to be successful and productive, they just haven't recognized them yet. As a clinician, I can see the strengths in clients and help them reach their full potential and lead rewarding and productive lives. Living in toxic environments, dependent relationships, and debilitating upbringings unwittingly hurt us.
