As a clinician, I believe that my clients know themselves best and I am here to support them in their journey of self-exploration. My passion is to assist individuals in creating positive change in their life. I primarily assist clients in creating goals from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy perspective while pulling from Person-Centered and Solution-Focused techniques. Creating awareness in the mind-body connection is incredibly important to me as a clinician. I encourage this by creating the space for my clients to gain emotional and physical awareness in their minds and bodies.
I am passionate about assisting clients with the different relationships in their lives. I believe meaningful and healthy connections to others adds so much fulfillment to our lives. I am trained in Gottman Therapeutic techniques and integrate these techniques into my practice.
I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of South Dakota. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health (LPC-MH) in the state of South Dakota.
