My approach is warm and present. I trust in your judgment in the therapeutic process, and view each individual as the expert in their own life. I’ve worked in the mental health field in Northern New Mexican communities for a decade.
My approach is trauma informed, strengths based, and includes EMDR, family systems therapy, somatic mindfulness, narrative therapy, and techniques from Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry approach. I use humor when it fits. I believe our relationships with nature, community, spirituality, and creativity can be primary parts of the healing process.
I take a liberation psychology approach, acknowledging systemic oppression as a factor in holistic mental health. I am queer identified & work w/ LGBTQIA+ communities. I am neurodivergent, live with chronic illness, and support those w/ similar experiences. I’ve worked w/ Indigenous & POC communities, including working for Nambe Pueblo for two years.
If you’re curious about working with me, let's check in and see if we’re a good fit. I offer free 15 min consultations. I currently work only by telehealth.
