Trauma changes our brain and our relationship with our body, but healing experiences can reshape our mind / body experience, too. 
I’m Phoebe, and I work with clients who have experienced family-of-origin trauma, helping them learn to feel safe in both mind and body. When we go through trauma, our mind and body can disconnect as a way of protecting us from overwhelming pain. This separation is adaptive in the short term, but over time it can leave us feeling stuck in our trauma responses- disconnected from ourselves, struggling to connect with others, and unable to fully engage with the world around us.
You may have heard the phrase trauma lives in the body or how “the body keeps the score.” In our work together, I’ll help you gently rebuild a strong, safe mind–body connection- supporting you in returning to your body without becoming overwhelmed. My approach blends somatic therapy with attachment-based work to help you build trust, and feel grounded.
My trauma-informed training, focuses healing through connection- not control. In sessions, we focus less on “fixing” behavior and more on creating safety, co-regulation, and relationship repair.
