My primary goal is to partner with you to relieve suffering and promote well-being. I have extensive experience working with health care professionals, highly sensitive persons, those suffering complex or acute PTSD, individuals dealing with chronic health issues, and therapists experiencing compassion fatigue or burnout. I enjoy collaborating with those who've had less than satisfactory experiences with prior therapy, or who feel stuck in their efforts to change. My approach is intuitive, empathic, compassionate and grounded in evidence-based methods.
I'm a thought leader in the field of eco-psychology, which uses nature interaction for emotional healing and spiritual growth. I've written two books on this subject ("The Healing Earth" and "Nature's Ways"). I utilize a variety of methods including clinical hypnotherapy, EMDR and Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing and subconscious processing.
I'm an award-winning newspaper columnist ("Out of My Mind"), first in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and now the Shepherd Express, a book author, workshop facilitator and national speaker. I love nature and other animals, reside in a multi-racial family, live a purposeful life, and work to deeply engage with my clients to promote healing and growth.
