About
Sometimes it is difficult to make sense of thoughts and feelings, especially when many of us are told not to listen to what is happening inside. People seek therapy because they want to have a more satisfying life, and have been unable to achieve their goals due to internal and external stresses. It is difficult to discover what we already know and to bring that knowledge usefully into the world in the midst of the incessant demands of everyday life. I work with adults, adolescents and families on anxiety, depression and interpersonal problems that cause them concern. I find it very rewarding, working together toward a richer life.
I have worked for 25 years with children, adolescents and adults, and supervised clinicians for 12 years. In our therapy we look and listen for the small things that are the seeds of your authentic life. We follow the small shifts in tension, working, whenever possible, without agendas to find those see and to make concrete positive changes in your life.
I work with adolescents and adults struggling through depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance abuse, college and life transition anxieties and cultural issues. It would be my great honor to be of help as you find your way toward a more fulfilling and engaged life. I negotiate fees privately with each person, taking financed into careful consideration.
