Philip H. West currently has a waitlist for new clients.
10/28/22: pausing intakes 4 wks. I reply to inquiries in 24-48 hrs. You may struggle with anxiety, depression, change, insecurity, uncertainty; all of which can be difficult to handle alone. You seek a way through difficulty, to understand and to be understood, support, maybe new skills. When we meet together, I try to make our visits safe, understandable, and meaningful for you and I encourage you to bring your full complicated self to our visits. My style is interactive and I'll encourage you to try some homework, practice skills, or read on topics, and as appropriate I like to share knowledge, content, and experience.
I combine my training as a clinical social worker with my interests in mindfulness and Buddhist informed contemplative studies and like to use the affirming qualities of these to meet clients wherever they find themselves. More specifically, I also draw from CBT, psychodynamic, and 'person centered' approaches, which help you learn about yourself too.
Therapy might seem intimidating, but therapy can be a wonderful and liberating process. This is a no-judgment zone. You can contact me for a no-charge consult to see if we might be a fit to work together. Currently, flex or fixed time available Thursday and Saturday. In person and video available. Beverly location.
