Hi there, I'm Phil and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I am dedicated to helping people identify and reach their treatment goals and improve their quality of life. I enjoy helping people better manage issues like anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and mood disorders. I believe that people are doing the best they can with the skills, knowledge, and resources available to them to manage what's going on in life, and I am here to help provide new skills and healthier, more effective options, or even just a safe space to talk when needed.
First and foremost my goal is to offer a safe, accepting space for clients. I believe that is essential for any treatment type to be effective. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and also have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and with implementing both through trauma focused and gender/sexuality-affirming lenses.
Whether you're looking for a more structured and skills driven approach, or just need a safe space to talk and be heard, I am happy to help. I know that it can be hard to take the first steps towards getting help, but know that you're not alone and please feel free to reach out if you think we could be a good fit.
