Psychotherapy with me will be a guided, supportive exploration of how you think, feel, act and relate to others. I am a relational therapist: an approach to therapy which combines self-understanding and self-acceptance in relationship to your significant others, both past and present. We all need to be understood. This is my primary job with you: to understand how you think and feel. Once you feel understood, together we can figure out what is getting in the way of living a happier, fulfilling life. I am an expressive therapist, and you will never go away from a session wondering what I think.
I can help you develop your talents, skills and interests for both your career and relationships. If you are dealing with anxiety or depression, I can help you live more fully in the here and now, instead of repeating the emotional problems from the past or anticipating worst case scenarios in the future.
I also do couples therapy and sex therapy. Long term relationships are built on security and intimacy, but can be lacking in adventure. This is frequently where sex breaks down, and balance is needed. I have been helping couples of all sexual orientations deal with intimacy and sexuality for over 30 years. I also offer consultation for therapists.
