I am Phelan (pronounced Fay-len) a Licensed Professional Counselor deeply committed to helping people navigate life’s most challenging mental health experiences. Therapy, for me, is more than a profession. It’s my way of changing the world, by helping the people in our world heal and live happier, healthier lives. In our sessions, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where your story is heard and validated. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: if we want to change the world, we begin by helping the people in it. Therapy can be the first step; one act of courage, one insight, one person at a time.

I’m extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, DBT helps clients build a life worth living through mindfulness, distress tolerance, & regulation. I'm also trained and certified in SMART Recovery and strive to help patients take responsibility for their lives by learning relapse prevention and address substance and behavioral addictions.

I specialize in working with complex and often stigmatized issues, especially with those who struggle with enacting life-style changes. I will help you see your patterns clearly, reclaim ownership of your experiences, and take concrete steps toward lasting growth. You will leave each session with a clearer sense of direction, and actionable tools to practice
