I am a 1st generation Taiwanese-American immigrant who came to the US as an adolescent. I can conduct therapy in fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, and English. I am a full-time self-employee and mother of 2. I changed careers from Engineering B.S, to Business M.M., to Counseling/Behavioral Science M.Ed. therapy. I worked at MIT, and I am currently working on my Ph.D in Clinical Sexology. I empathize with work life balance issues, stress/time management, and career transition/satisfaction. My core goal is to empower individuals, couples and families to make healthy, positive changes in their professional and personal lives.

I have successfully taught children as early as those in Program Head Start, before becoming a Texas Teacher & School Counselor, and ultimately a LPC-Supervisor . As a child advocate who tries to understand the needs of the child in hopes of helping with mental or emotional turmoil. One may say or think that I specialize in treating children? This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family. Family history and dynamics plays a "Huge" role in your child's development and behaviors.

I have been a therapist in the community for over 23 years. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and use other therapeutic interventions, as needed, for my clients. I have developed a focus on mental health and substance use disorders. The ages I work with is between 9 yrs old on up for individual, couples and family therapy. It has been my privilege to work with diverse populations across Texas, Louisiana and Alaska, including residential substance abuse, Youth & Families and Active Duty Military & their families. I use CBT, strength-based and existential modalities to help a client reach their goals, problem solve and manage their mental health needs. At this time I am only taking cash paying (out of pocket) clients. I currently have a wait-list for all others who wish to use their benefits until August 2024, I do have a network of therapists available to provide therapy online and in-person.
