About
If I were a baker or a mechanic, then who I am as a person wouldn't matter, as long as the donuts are good or your car gets fixed. However, with counseling, how you feel about your counselor matters significantly. Being a good fit is a necessity. I hope that this brief narrative gives you an idea of what working with me might look like so that you can make an informed decision if I'd be an appropriate fit for what you need. I value the science behind what we feel and why we feel it. I value humor. I value unconditional regard for those I serve. These are integral to my work.
My core philosophies are simple: you can feel healthier, you already have what it takes, and you're the boss of how this goes. What we discuss, how much we discuss, how hard we work is always defined by you. We will work to identify relevant factors, identify strategies to address them, and put those strategies into practice.
On a personal note, I live in Fargo and am a married father of three. In my free time, I enjoy camping, running, baseball, and messing around with old cars and trucks. If you have any questions about what counseling with me might look like, I encourage you to reach out. Genuinely, thank you for taking the time to read this information.
