Peter Zook, MSW, LSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Philadelphia
Whether you're having a hard time, experiencing conflict in relationships, overly stressed, or something more serious is happening; I work with various mental health challenges. This includes depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and more. I provide psychotherapy to adults, working to get to the root of what brings someone in, increasing insight and self-awareness along the way. I look at the big picture, considering the various factors that lead to distress. Understanding and undoing deeper character pains helps to lead to lasting change with the aim of helping you find more meaning and fulfillment in your life.
In addition to taking a more dynamic approach, my work is grounded in social justice and multiculturalism. I am very intentional about intersectionality, mindful of providing a safe and inclusive space. I am poly and non-monogamy friendly, as well as fat positive.
Therapy can be hard work. It's not easy to confront what's painful. It helps to have someone with whom you trust and feel comfortable. It's okay to shop around and find the right fit. To learn more, listen to my audio story here: http://bit.ly/2feFGXS
