I have been successful in helping people manage issues of depression, anxiety, and trauma that are barriers to their quality of life and block their abilities and possibilities. I am reality oriented with a focus on solutions and skills to improve life satisfaction. I generally work with adults between the ages of 20 to 100.
I have training and extensive experience using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Ego-State Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). I focus on depression, anxiety, and trauma when these issues create personal stress and relationship problems.
By using the skills you already possess and learning a few new ones, I will work with you to reduce stress, improve your relationships, and give increased meaning and balance to your life. I draw on over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families from a variety of economic, cultural, and social situations.
